Untangling ADHD in the Workplace

Could your neurodivergent employees be some of your best assets? New research says yes. It also says you're losing them. The fix isn't a policy. It's coaching, from the manager in the room or the coach we bring in.

When:
Tuesday 3 November 2026 | 1pm CET / 12pm UK | Online | Free
Where:
Live online on Zoom, with a recording sent to everyone who registers
Cost:
Free to attend

Register and you'll get the recording either way.

Live and interactive. Polls and word clouds throughout, and a proper Q&A. You tell us what's hard where you work, we answer it in the room.

Hosted by Rosie Turner (ADHD Untangled) and Jodie Hill (Thrive Law)

Sometimes the cost shows up in a tribunal. Usually it shows up in your turnover.

This year a UK tribunal awarded £45,000 against Lidl because a manager read an employee's ADHD communication style as "a lack of remorse". Tribunal claims mentioning neurodivergence have doubled in five years. And fewer than four in ten organisations have given their managers any neurodiversity training at all.

Sounds like a big task. It isn't. When you break it down, most of what makes a workplace work for neurodivergent brains is simple, cheap, and doesn't mean tearing up your processes and starting again.

And it's not about bending over backwards for one group. Design for accessibility has always ended up serving everyone. Text messaging. Dropped kerbs. Both built for accessibility. Both now used by the majority.

So what can we do about it?

That's where we come in

Rosie on what ADHD looks like at work and how to coach it. Jodie on what the law expects. Between us, the full picture.

Rosie Turner

Founder, ADHD Untangled

Founder of ADHD Untangled, accredited ADHD coach and trainer of ADHD-informed coaches. The person companies call when they want ADHD explained by someone who lives it.

Diagnosed at 33, after a decade of corporate jobs at News UK, Deliveroo and Skyscanner spent working twice as hard to look like everyone else. She now trains coaches and managers in the same method: understand the brain first, then coach it. Not fix it, not manage it, coach it.

She hosts the ADHD Untangled podcast, runs the ADHD Informed Coach Training with clinical neuroscientist Dr Miguel Toribio Mateas and clinical psychologist Michaela Thomas, and has trained teams at Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, News UK, Global Radio and Arcadis. Story first. Science behind it. Strategy to take away.

“One of the most impactful sessions we've ever run, with over 1,700 sign ups. She's a truly charismatic speaker with a real gift for making people feel seen and supported by one another. We were blown away to see over 700 messages shared in the chat.”

Niamh Pardi, Editorial and Content Lead, OpenUp

“Rosie has a brilliant way of making ADHD make sense. She brings a rare combination of deep expertise, lived experience, and genuine empathy. If you're looking to untangle the myths around ADHD and build a more inclusive, informed approach to neurodiversity, I can't recommend this training enough.”

Graham Goodden, Senior Manager, Brentford FC Community Sports Trust

“I know you just changed my life today.”

Jodie Hill is a forward-thinking employment solicitor and the visionary behind Thrive Law. Known for her personable and human approach, Jodie cuts through complex legal and people challenges with clarity, empathy, and commercial insight.

A qualified barrister called to the Bar in 2010, Jodie cross-qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and is now the Founder and Managing Partner of Thrive Law.

A passionate advocate for mental health, neurodiversity, and inclusion, Jodie brings lived experience to her work. She offers legal advice alongside strategic support, helping organisations create inclusive cultures and handle sensitive issues like mental health, disability, and performance with a human approach.

Jodie is also experienced in employment tribunal litigation, guiding employers from early conciliation through to advocacy and resolution; balancing legal risk with people, values, and reputation.

Jodie has lived experience of ADHD and neurodivergence, which informs both her practice and her training delivery. Her training approach combines legal accuracy with genuine personal insight. She does not separate the legal from the human.

“Jodie delivered an incredibly impactful talk on neurodiversity and inclusion, weaving together lived experience, legal insight and practical takeaways with real clarity and warmth. Her ability to create a space that felt both safe and energising sparked conversations long after the session ended. A brilliant reminder of how inclusion is not just policy, but practice.”

Sophie Wardell, Higgs LLP

“Jodie tailored the session perfectly to our business and to my needs in my role, with practical steps I could implement immediately. I would highly recommend anybody in a management position to engage with Jodie.”

Gemma Fitzgerald, Morgan King

“Thrive have recently supported me in putting together bespoke training for ED&I and Sexual Harassment. The training needed to feel relevant to us and our business and for it to be engaging without feeling cheesy or overly corporate. Thrive absolutely met this brief for us.”

What you'll walk away with

Sixty minutes, and practical things you can use the same week.

  1. The research, made useful

What the numbers mean for your team, not just the headlines.

64% of employers admit their managers don't get it (Birkbeck).

  2. What ADHD actually is, and how it shows up at work

What Rosie tells her own story: a decade in corporate, diagnosed at 33, and what it looked like from the inside. Then the science behind it, and the everyday patterns managers misread as attitude.

  3. Your questions on the legal lay of the land across Europe, answered by Jodie

Where the risks sit, what good practice looks like, and when to get proper advice. Send yours in advance when you register.

  4. Coaching, not managing

Three coaching prompts a manager can bring to their next one to one, and when to bring in a coach instead.

  5. The recording and the slides

    Share them with your managers.
